Schaumann Østerfælled A/S was founded on 7 July 2006 for the purpose of acquiring 521 residential letting units and changing the units into owner-occupied flats.
The residential units are situated near Østerfælled Torv between Østerbrogade and Fælledparken in Copenhagen.
The acquisition of the residential units was completed on 15 September 2006, and the units were changed into owner-occupied flats in January 2007.
The plan is to sell the units as owner-occupied flats if and when the existing tenants move out.
Financing
As part of the actual financing of the acquisition, the company issued in September 2006 bonds with a total face value of DKK 176m (Schaumann Østerfælled 7.0% 2013 and Schaumann Østerfælled 7.0% 2016) which were admitted for listing on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
